Diagnostic Review
$500
The diagnostic review is a one-time service that covers up to one year of your books (or since your last filed tax return, whichever is more recent).
The diagnostic review fee will be applied to your onboarding or cleanup work if you opt in for ongoing monthly bookkeeping services.

Comparison against your bank and credit card statements

Sales tax compliance review, if applicable
Detailed report that includes what’s working, what isn’t working, and what needs to change
Zoom call to walk through findings and answer questions

We’ll dig into your books, identify what’s working and what’s not working, and provide you with a detailed report, as well as a no-obligation proposal for ongoing services.
We do not make any edits to your books. We review everything thoroughly, and the report is yours to keep, whether or not you continue to work with us.

Guessing isn’t useful. In order to understand your bookkeeping needs, we need to actually see your books: what software you’re using, how far back clean-up or catch-up work needs to go, what’s messy and what isn’t. The diagnostic review gives us all of this. It also helps to ensure that there will be no big surprises once we’re working together.

That’s usually why people reach out. You don’t need to clean anything up before we look, that’s the point of the review.

Once we have received all of the necessary documents, we’ll complete your report within ten business days, then we’ll send you a link to book a review call for a detailed walk-through via Zoom.

After you fill out the intake form and make your payment below, we’ll email you a link to our secure client portal within 1-2 business days. There, you’ll find the requests to upload your documents.

Your most recent tax return, bank and credit card statements for the review period, and access to your books via QBO, Xero, or Excel. After you book, you’ll receive a link to our secure client portal where you can upload everything.
All information is held confidentially and never sold or shared with anyone outside of Ember Bookkeeping Services.
