Autumn is the very best time to engage a bookkeeper–especially if you need to get caught up on the current year’s bookkeeping. 

In September and October, we still have a few months left in the year, which gives us a fighting chance of getting your data reviewed, entered, reconciled, and analyzed before the busiest time of year for bookkeepers arrives–January. 

As a bookkeeper, January is all about closing the old year, processing 1099s for your vendors, and making sure that your books are all ready for your accountant so they have time to file your taxes with minimal stress, making you an A+ client in their eyes. 

When I start working with a new bookkeeping client, it is important for me to understand your business–how you operate, your income streams and what your money needs to do for you, which reports or benchmarks are actually helpful to support your goals.
